Comings and goings.
A seasonal shift.
Over the past few weeks at Süti & Co., we’ve said goodbye to some invaluable members of our team. Dani, one of our fearless front-of-house gals, has spent the past two years quietly growing her incredible candle brand (which we are proud to feature on our shelves), and has finally decided to work on that venture full-time! And back in the kitchen, our wonderful pastry sous chef, MaryLou, is headed to California for her next adventure. We will miss her skillful contributions to our ever-changing rotation of signature sweets.
As a business owner and a mentor, it’s always exciting to see the next generation moving into a new phase in their careers—though both of these wonderful women will be sorely missed! In turn, you’ll be seeing some new faces at the cottage, which has also offered a chance to reflect on where we’re headed next. What we know won’t change: our commitment to quality, craftsmanship and customer service. While my restless creative mind can’t help but dream up new ideas, these are the values we return to time and time again. So thanks for sticking with us on the journey—and letting us know what continues to resonate with you, our incredible community!
March Happenings at Süti & Co.
Scandinavian Sweets
During this final stretch of winter, you can expect to see more Semla (cardamom cream buns), as well as our take on Runeberg torte: a Finnish almond cake soaked in lemon syrup and topped with lemon Swiss meringue cream, mixed berry jam and lavender. Once spring rolls around, both of these beauties will head for the hills—so grab them while they last!
Signature Smørrebrød
We’ve been quietly chipping away at a new rotation of our open-faced toast menu and are excited to share the latest additions!
Labneh with smoked salmon, house pickled shallots + tomatoes
Smoked beet with cucumber, eggs, and housemade savory granola
Whipped cream cheese with tomato, shaved Parmesan, pepitas and honey drizzle
Coming Soon: Supper Clubs!
Keep your eyes peeled in April for new supper club dates! Running May through September, these ticketed outdoor dinners are some of our favorite events to host each year. As the weather warms up, you can also expect to see some new family-friendly programming, as well as the return of live music on the patio.
In the Shop
Striped Cups + Saucers
If you know anything about Süti & Co., it’s that we love classic patterns, from polka dots to Swiss crosses and beyond. This colorful striped dishware—made in Germany by an Italian designer duo—evokes the effortlessly chic colors of coastal Mediterranean towns. Whether you share Andrea’s enthusiasm for a “proper” cup-and-saucer or simply need a place to stash a sweet treat, these hand-printed and hand-glazed espresso sets are the perfect coffee companion.
Wooden Serving Boards
With summer entertaining just around the corner, we’re all about elevating our outdoor dining gear. These “Whale Bone” solid wood boards—available in cherry and maple—are handcrafted in a tiny town in Upstate New York using exclusively American-sourced materials. Beyond the beauty of the wood itself, we love the leather pulls that allow us to use them as both servingware and decor. Simply hanging one in your kitchen will make you feel 10x more stylish!
