Coming into our own.

The test of time.

For a brick-and-mortar business, simply making it through your first year is a remarkable act of survival. But as we near our second full turn around the sun, this anniversary takes on a whole different meaning. While that first year was a thrill, year two feels more like coming into our own, finding our people and creating a unique concept that resonates with our community.

In truth, what comes down to is staying relevant in a world that runs on new and novel. We all love being surrounded by small businesses that bring charm and even a dash of eccentricity to our hometowns, but how often do we frequent those storefronts? After the initial excitement of opening, it can be a bit scary to wait and see if your customers will continue to stop by week after week, or if they will move on to the next new thing.

So thank you to everyone who has stuck with us and supported our vision. We’re excited to keep dreaming big, expanding our creative horizons and collaborating with other makers who share our handmade ethos.

…And if you haven’t been supporting your favorite Boulder businesses of late, consider this a friendly reminder to stop by the independent shops that bring something special to our downtown community!

September Happenings

OUR SECOND ANNIVERSARY

Since our second birthday is technically on a Tuesday (September 24th), we’ll be celebrating the weekend of the 21st and 22nd as well. A few festive details:

Saturday, September 21st

We’ll be joined by our friends at Summer Snow, serving up shaved ice made with 100% real fruit and cane sugar syrups. René Moffat will also be onsite, bringing folksy, soulful vibes to the party.

Saturday, September 21st + Sunday, September 22nd

We’ll be giving away one free Anna shortbread cookie (our all-time fan favorite süti!) with any home goods purchase at the shop.

Tuesday, September 24th

Swing through for traditional Danish crepes! We’ll be serving up these complimentary treats with any drink, pastry or home goods purchase.

SWISS CROSS BLANKETS
In2Green

These American-made reversible throws are an absolute staple in my own home. Plus, you would never guess they’re crafted with recycled cotton and post-consumer plastic bottles—especially given their washability and stretch-proof, fade-proof quality. The Swiss Cross pattern also never goes out of style, giving ski chalet vibes all year round.

TAPER CANDLES
Palette Amsterdam

Handmade in the Netherlands by founder Maxine, we can barely keep these colorful candles on our shelves. The “Nordic Nights” and “Blossoming Fields” are two palettes we restock on a regular basis, and their consistently clean-burning quality (goodbye pools of wax!) has made these tapers an absolute customer favorite.
